Internet based works

Since 2000, all artistic works by Agricola de Cologne are always primarily or secondarily Internet based art works, the typical realisation of his projects within the self-created networking structures on an ongoing basis until their end is determined. In this way, besides linear videos (since 2003) most of the works are interactive, most of them are media art platforms focussing on different digital media and topics between 2000-2004 exclusively made for the net, and after 2004 in an exchange between virtual and physical space, generating that kind of typical dualism distinguishing his projects.

Agricola de Cologne’s Internet based art activities can be divided in basically two sections, the smaller interactive and streaming netart pieces and the larger net works, which all are Internet based art as well, but many of them are hybrids, simultaneously artworks and simultaneously virtual and physical networks, research and curatorial projects, which include participatory components of different kind and all the projects a highly interactive, many of them include even the entire Internet as an art source.

In this networks, Agricola de Cologne combines all thinkable functions, like a programmer, multi-media developer, curator, director, etc in one single person.

Independantly from their dimension and shape, all projects form in their totality an all encompassing whole, receiving their actual relevance in the context of the major artistic network, this becomes even more relevant since Agricola de Cologne is always working on different ongoing platforms at the same time. Additionally he is occasionally re-designing either individual sites/project/platforms or the entire network encompassing all projects, this is even good for finalized projects. The the Internet based works are in a continuous process even if they inalized and not active any longer.
